- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪01/09/2015 Dr. Avery Kuflik is very gifted. He has that rare combination of great talent focused on the work he’s most passionate about. His empathy is palpable and his patients are lucky. Refined, gentle and surprisingly quick in his work, he somehow moves with ease and leisurely calm. Only after my visit did I realize I never saw a needle or a blade. He would say “I’ll numb the area and you’ll feel a small pinch and a burn.” And then just seconds after starting his very comforting countdown from five back to zero, he was done. Just like that. I think I did a double take when that happened. Physician and magician all in one, I thought.
